One of many polish folklore suits I had pleasure to wear many years ago as a member of folk dance group.
The suit comes from region of Poland called Lubelszczyzna.
It consists of white linen shirt with decorated collar and cuffs.
Next piece is a fabric jacket with many colorful ribbons sewn along the opening, waist and cuffs. On top of ribbons a geometrical felt pattern was attached with decorative white top stitches. Under the jacket, around the waist men wear belt with similar decorations.
Last piece of the suit is a straw hat with black ribbon dangling down on the back. On the left side of the hat married men wear a peacock feather and single men attached artificial flowers to it.
I hope you like it!
